Education and environment are crucial issues to discuss. Various aspects of education are worthy of serious attention. Teachers, teaching methodology, and curriculum are just a few examples of urgently-discussed topics in education. In addition, environmental degradation indicated with, among other things, excessive disasters and environmental damage is one of the urgent problems in the environmental area. Alternative solutions for those environmental problems are called for.

Southeast Asia Research Conference on Sustainable Development (SEARCESAD) is an attempt to explore creativity to minimize problems related to education and environment. It would promote and dissiminate current research findings and conceptual ideas concerning with environment and education. The other goal of this conference is to bring together researchers, education practitioners, environment activists, companies, and communities, non-government organisations into the same vision in minimizing educational and environmental problems.

SEARCESAD 2018 would be hosted by Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Muhammadiyah Tulungagung, Indonesia. We are pleased to have the opportunity to extend you a cordial invitation to attend the conference.We now invite researchers, practitioners, activists, and communities to submit papers that address research at the cross-roads of education and sustainable development. Abstracts (100 to 150 words) can be submitted to <>. The deadline for submission is 12 of December 2017 and acceptances will be communicated by late-December. The abstract must be written in Times New Roman 12 font type.

SEARCESAD would publish significant original research from a broad range of natural, social and engineering fields about sustainability, its policy dimensions and possible solutions. Understanding how to ensure the well-being of current and future generations within the limits of the natural world is the overarching goal of sustainability research. SEARCESAD publishes original, double-blind peer-reviewed articles from throughout the world in the fields of education and environmental science.

* Paper: 30-minute oral presentation session, of which 5 minutes are for
* Workshop: 45-minute session for presenter(s) to share practical skills, techniques or ideas in an interactive format.
* Colloquium: 90-minute panel session. A colloquium provides a platform for three to six speakers to present a related theme/topic together collaboratively. Colloquium organizers may divide the time slot allotted as they prefer, but there should be time for opening and closing remarks, presentations by individual presenters and interactions with the audience.
* Poster: 45-minute session. An all-day presentation medium for visually displaying a snapshot (e.g., enlarged text, graphics, diagrams, charts, tables) of a study. Poster presenters will be present at a designated time to engage face-to-face with conference attendees about the poster
* NOTES: your full paper for any type of presentation must be written in English. Use times new roman 12 font type, and type in one-and-half

All submissions undergo a double-blind, peer-reviewed process which, subject to passing, will result in the publication in the conference proceedings. Papers of exceptional quality will be offered publication in the peer-reviewed journal (Scopus Indexed) and other selected periodicals.

Presenters should register before January 10, 2018. Registration fee is Rp 2.000.000 (meal and coffee break, seminar kit, proceeding, certificate, and program book, excluding the accommodation and transportation).
